WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, is accepting applications for the recycling rebate grant, with the award of $72,865.19 and a required match of $36,432.59; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to M.C.L. 2.08.045, this application has been signed by the Mayor and submitted to the State of Tennessee contingent upon Council approval; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVISION COUNTY:

Section 1: That the Metropolitan Government’s application for the recycling rebate grant, with an award of $72,865.19 and a required match of $36,432.59, a copy of which if attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and is authorized to be submitted to the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation.

Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
