WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council passed Resolution No. RS2022-1593, pursuant to which the Metropolitan Government appropriated a total of $2,544,580.20 from the Nashville Public Library to various non-profit organizations for the provision of free and high-quality afterschool programs through the Library's Nashville After Zone Alliance ("NAZA") program; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution No. RS2022-1593 authorized the Metropolitan Government to enter into grant contracts with certain non-profit organizations; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Nashville Public Library, and Aspiring Youth Enrichment Services are parties to a grant contract (L-5161), as authorized by Resolution No. RS2022-1593, pursuant to which the Metropolitan Government agreed to make a grant of $159,580.00 to Aspiring Youth Enrichment Services for the provision of free and high-quality afterschool programs through NAZA; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $40,650.00 to add an additional community-based location serving 30 youth for a new grant total of $200,230.00, a copy of which grant contract amendment is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Nashville Public Library, and Global Outreach Developments International are parties to a grant contract (L-5170), as authorized by Resolution No. RS2022-1593, pursuant to which the Metropolitan Government agreed to make a grant of $162,964.80 to Global Outreach Developments ...
