A resolution approving an application for a Training Opportunities for the Public (TOP) grant from the Tennessee State Library and Archives to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, to provide funds for free technology training and equipment for use by members of the community.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee State Library and Archives is accepting applications for a Training Opportunities for the Public (TOP) grant with an award of $9,456.00 and a required cash match of $1,851.20 to provide funds for free technology training and equipment for use by members of the community; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the application for a Training Opportunities for the Public (TOP) grant, with an award of $9,456.00, a copy of which grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Nashville Public Library is authorized to submit said application to the Tennessee State Library and Archives.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
