A resolution approving amendment 2 to an Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Public Works, for the reimbursement of railroad crossing safety improvements at Post Road (0D016), Railroad Crossing #348028F, State Project No: 19960-2552-94, Federal Project No: HSIP-R00S-(315), PIN 123221.00. WHEREAS, RS2020-450 as amended approved an intergovernmental agreement between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Public Works, for the reimbursement of railroad crossing safety improvements at Post Road; and,
WHEREAS, the project estimate has increased; and,
WHEREAS, the project estimate is now $171,931.11 in which the total cost is to be split 10% Metro, or $17,193.11, and 90% for TDOT, or $154,738.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this construction be carried out.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Amendment 2 to the intergovernmental agreement, between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through its Department of Public Works, for the reimbursement of railroad crossing safety improvements at Post Road, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
