A resolution recognizing the 25th anniversary of Robert's Western World.

WHEREAS, on August 5, Broadway mainstay Robert's Western World will celebrate their 25th anniversary with JesseLee Jones and "a big ol' honky tonk party" at the 400 block of Broadway; and
WHEREAS, located on Lower Broadway in the famous historic district of downtown Nashville, Robert's Western World is Nashville's home of traditional country music; and
WHEREAS, like many buildings on Broadway, the building that is now home to Robert's is steeped in history and was once used as a warehouse, an office space for river merchants, and served as the home of Sho-Bud Steel Guitar Company from the late 1950s to the early 1980s; and
WHEREAS, two of the greatest steel guitar players in history, Shot Jackson and Buddy Emmons, manufactured and sold some of the best steel guitars and musical instruments ever made at Sho-Bud Steel Guitar Company. The duo also manufactured Dobro-style guitars and other unique instruments including custom steel guitars for popular bands such as The Monkees, Yes, and Poco; and
WHEREAS, in 1980, the rights and manufacturing of Sho-Bud Steel Guitar Company was purchased by Gretch Guitars, with Shot Jackson remaining there but renaming the business to Shot Jackson's Guitar & Service Center; and
WHEREAS, when Lower Broadway fell on hard times during the 1980's, 416B Broadway was home to Lynn's Liquor Store before Robert Wayne Moore opened Rhinestone Western Wear in the early 1990s to sell western boots and apparel; and
WHEREAS, since Robert had years of experience in the honky tonk business, he soon decided to add a jukebox, beer, and cigarettes in the store. Shortly thereafter, live solo entertainers and a grill replaced the jukebox to much success; and
WHEREAS, by 1992, Robert changed the name from Rhinestone Western Wear to Robert's 3 Doors Down, and later, Robert's Western Wear Bar & Night Club; and
