Agenda Analysis

Analysis

This resolution accepts a Continuum of Care (“CoC”) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) and transfers from the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (“MDHA”) to the Office of Homeless Services as the local HUD CoC Program collaborative applicant to develop a CoC system.

MDHA previously served as the Collaborative Applicant for the Nashville CoC program and applied for the funding. Pursuant to Resolution No. RS2024-215, OHS was permitted to apply to serve as the Collaborative Applicant which receives these funds. The grant would be used to develop a Continuum of Care system, develop community coordination, evaluate and monitor projects for program compliance and outcomes, and prepare the application to HUD on behalf of the CoC.

The grant is for an amount not to exceed $465,701 with no required cash match. The grant term commences on July 1, 2026, and ends on June 30, 2027.
