WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, seeks to enter into an intergovernmental agreement for the repairing of existing pavement failures and resurfacing of 0.660 miles of Old Hickory Boulevard, from Bridge over I-40 to Bell Road; State Project No. 19SAR1-S8-010, PIN: 128722; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the agreement attached hereto, the total cost estimate of the project is $717,600.00, 75% of which will be funded by the State, and 25%, or $179,400.00, of which will be funded by Metro, subject to the availability of funding from Metro; and,
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 12-9-104(a)(2)(b), authorizes The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County to enter into intergovernmental agreements with the State of Tennessee by resolution; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and between the Nashville Department of Transportation, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved, and that the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
