WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 180 linear feet of existing four inch water main and approximately 188 linear feet of existing two inch water main, and the acceptance of approximately 374 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP) and one sanitary sewer manhole, for property located at 223 Oceola Avenue, also known as Chelsea at Oceola, are needed to construct project numbers 22-WL-08 and 22-SL-171; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2022M-157ES-001 on October 19, 2022, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains and sanitary sewer manhole.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 180 linear feet of existing four inch water main and approximately 188 linear feet of existing two inch water main, and to accept approximately 374 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP) and one sanitary sewer manhole, for property located at 223 Oceola Avenue, also known as Chelsea at Oceola, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
