An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water main, to relocate a public fire hydrant assembly, and to accept a new public water main and public fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 1805 Church Street, also known as 19th and Church (MWS Project No. 22-WL-39 and Proposal No. 2022M-106ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 773 linear feet of existing six inch water main, the relocation of one fire hydrant assembly, and the acceptance of approximately 685 linear feet of new 12 inch water main (DIP), approximately 253 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), and one fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 1805 Church Street, also known as 19th and Church, are needed to construct project number 22-WL-39; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2022M-106ES-001 on July 29, 2022, for the abandonment, relocation, and acceptance of said water mains and public fire hydrant assemblies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 773 linear feet of existing six inch water main, to relocate one fire hydrant assembly, and to accept approximately 685 linear feet of new 12 inch water main (DIP), approximately 253 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), and one fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 1805 Church Street, also known as 19th and Church, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment, relocation, and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
