A resolution terminating an agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Nashville Electric Service and the Adventure Science Center related to the installation of a solar powered electricity generating facility at the Adventure Science Center.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Valley Authority installed a small solar powered electricity generating facility on property owned by the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and approved by Ordinance No. BL2000-248; and,
WHEREAS, the parties want to transfer ownership of the solar facility to the Adventure Science Center and terminate the contract that was approved by Ordinance No. BL2000-248; and,
WHEREAS, the termination agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the Agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Termination Agreement by and between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Nashville Electric Service and the Adventure Science Center, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
