WHEREAS, The Curb Center at Vanderbilt has donated the sculpture "Pathway to a Higher Note" for public display on the grounds of the Centennial Arts Center and Creative Parks Nashville and the Centennial Park Conservancy have awarded a grant in the amount of $4,000.00 ($2,000.00 each) for annual financial support for maintenance and repair of the sculpture with no cash match required to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the donation and grant be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the sculpture donation and grant by and between The Curb Center at Vanderbilt in conjunction with Creative Parks Nashville and the Centennial Park Conservancy, in an amount not to exceed $4,000.00, to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, for the sculpture donation "Pathway to a Higher Note" and annual financial support for maintenance and repair, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Metropolitan Nashville Parks Department based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
