WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Department reviewed and approved the application for a CMAQ Improvement Grant; and,
WHEREAS, NDOT incorporated the TDM into their work program through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Metropolitan Transit Authority (WeGo) in April 2022; and,
WHEREAS, TDOT Agreement 200206 (attached hereto as Exhibit A) provides the grant award amount of $1,415,595.00, an eighty percent match, and Metro Government, acting by and through NDOT, provides $355,899.00, a twenty percent match, for the total project cost of $1,769,494.00; and,
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 12-9-104(a)(2)(b), authorizes the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to enter into intergovernmental agreements with the State of Tennessee; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the application for the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvements grant is hereby approved.
