A resolution to approve the First Amendment to a contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Foray Technologies, LLC to provide software services for the secure transfer of crime scene photos for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("Metro"), acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, previously entered into a contract with Foray Technologies, LLC, for the express purpose of providing software services for the secure transfer of crime scene photos; and,
WHEREAS, Section 4.12.060 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws authorizes the Metropolitan Purchasing Agent to enter into sole source contracts when the Purchasing Agent determines in writing according to standards adopted by the Procurement Standards Board that there is only one source for the supply or services required; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has determined that the services to be provided by Foray Technologies, LLC meet the requirements for the use of a sole source contract; and,
WHEREAS, Section 4.12.060 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws calls for Council approval by Resolution of sole source contracts "with a total contract amount in excess of two hundred fifty thousand dollars"; and,
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Foray Technologies, LLC have agreed to a First Amendment to the contract; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the amendment to the contract be approved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
