An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water mains, and to accept new public water mains and fire hydrant assemblies, for property located at 39th Avenue North (unnumbered) (MWS Project No. 22-WL-08 and Proposal No. 2022M-051ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 1,250 linear feet of existing two inch water main and approximately 40 linear feet of existing six inch water main, and the acceptance of approximately 838 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), approximately seven linear feet of new six inch water main (DIP) and two fire hydrant assemblies, for property located at 39th Avenue North (unnumbered), are needed to construct project number 22-WL-08; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2022M-051ES-001 on April 5, 2022, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains and fire hydrant assemblies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 1,250 linear feet of existing two inch water main and approximately 40 linear feet of existing six inch water main, and to accept approximately 838 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), approximately seven linear feet of new six inch water main (DIP) and two fire hydrant assemblies, for property located at 39th Avenue North (unnumbered), as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
