WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Action Commission, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Housing Development Agency for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) services targeted toward the elderly, disabled, veterans, and households with children under the age of six years approved by RS2020-543; and,

WHEREAS, amendment one to the grant agreement extends the end date of the grant to October 1, 2021, and amendment two to the grant agreement extends the end date to June 30, 2022; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendments one and two be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendments one and two to the grant by and between the Tennessee Housing Development Agency and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Action Commission, for Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) services targeted toward the elderly, disabled, veterans, and households with children under the age of six years, a copy of which amendments one and two are attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
