WHEREAS, pursuant to BL2018-1291, as amended by RS2020-442, the Metropolitan Council approved a ground lease (the "Lease") of a portion of the Nashville Fairgrounds campus for mixed use development in connection with construction of the Major League Soccer stadium project (collectively, the "Improvements"); and,
WHEREAS, the Lease requires the Metropolitan Government to construct certain infrastructure, including roads (the "Roads"), to serve the Nashville Fairgrounds campus as well as the Improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the Roads are depicted and described in the document attached to this ordinance as Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the infrastructure project is underway, and declaration of the Roads as public rights of way is necessary to clarify public control of such rights of way and ensure permanent access to the Improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Fair Commissioners has approved the declaration of the roads as public rights of way; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Roads, as depicted and described in Exhibit A, are hereby declared to be public rights of way.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This ordinance declares certain planned roads in the Nashville Fairgrounds campus to be public rights of way. These roads are an extension of Benton Avenue, an extension of Wedgewood Avenue, and a proposed alley between the proposed "Lease Tract 8C" and the existing speedway.
