A resolution approving an amendment to an assignment and assumption grant agreement amendment of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) grant between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Department/Homelessness Commission, to contribute to the national effort to end homelessness.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Department/Homelessness Commission, previously entered into an assignment and assumption grant agreement amendment with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to contribute to the national effort to end homelessness approved by RS2019-1791; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the assignment and assumption grant agreement amendment to extend the end date from June 30, 2020 to October 31, 2020, a copy of which amendment is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant amendment be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the amendment to the assignment and assumption grant agreement amendment of the Homeless Management Information System grant between MDHA and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, to contribute to the national effort to end homelessness, a copy of which amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
