WHEREAS, the Firefighter Air Coalition wishes to donate a firefighter air replenishment system (FARS) to the Nashville Fire Department training facility, with an approximate value of $42,800.00, to better prepare firefighters working in high rise buildings and large horizontal structures and tunnels; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the donation from the Firefighter Air Coalition to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Nashville Fire Department, of an air replenishment system (FARS) to the Nashville Fire Department training facility, to better prepare firefighters working in high rise buildings and large horizontal structures and tunnels, a copy of which donation documentation is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the Nashville Fire Department is authorized to accept the donation for its use and benefit.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
