A resolution approving four grant subcontracts between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Juvenile Justice Center (Metro Juvenile Court), and Southern Word, Youth Villages, Counter Punch Youth Academy, and Health Connect America, and amendments thereto.

WHEREAS, pursuant to RS2024-881, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("Metro") previously entered into a grant contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, and the Office of Criminal Justice Programs, (collectively, the "State"), to administer federal grant funds for the improvement of the criminal justice system under the Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program; and,
WHEREAS, to fulfill the requirements of the grant contract, Metro entered into four subcontract agreements with Southern Word, Youth Villages, Counter Punch Youth Academy, and Health Connect America; and,
WHEREAS, these subcontracts were included as exhibits to RS2024-881; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to present these four fully executed subcontract agreements for retroactive approval of FY25 activities, and to amend these agreements to provide funding for FY26, and to update the various scopes of services provided by the subcontractors; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that these subcontracts and amendments thereto be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the subcontract agreements between the Metropolitan Government and Southern Word, Youth Villages, Counter Punch Youth Academy, and Health Connect America are hereby approved retroactively for FY25.
