A resolution appropriating a total of 355,000 from the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Homeless Services, to The Contributor Inc. and approving a grant agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Homeless Services, and the Contributor Inc. to provide Critical Time Intervention Services to ensure that individuals are connected to supportive services that will address barriers to maintaining housing and achieving self-sufficiency.

WHEREAS, Section 7-3-314 of the Tennessee Code Annotated states that metropolitan forms of government may provide financial assistance to nonprofit organizations in accordance with the guidelines of the Metropolitan Government; and,
WHEREAS, Section 5.04.070 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws provides that the Council may, by Resolution, appropriate funds for the financial aid of nonprofit organizations; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Homeless Services, has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed 355,000 with no cash match required to the Contributor Inc. to provide Critical Time Intervention Services to ensure that individuals are connected to supportive services that will address barriers to maintaining housing and achieving self-sufficiency; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated Three Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($355,000) from the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Homeless Services, to The Contributor Inc. for the purposes herein stated.
