WHEREAS, it is to the mutual benefit of Liberty and the Office of Family Safety to provide students with field work experience; and,

WHEREAS, Liberty University and the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Office of Family Safety, have entered into an affiliation agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to participate in field work experience; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this affiliation agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section I. That the affiliation agreement between Liberty University and the Office of Family Safety, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it:

This ordinance approves an affiliation agreement between the Office of Family Safety and Liberty University, LLC, to provide field work experience for students enrolled in Liberty University ("Liberty") social work programs.

Pursuant to the agreement, the Office of Family Safety would provide clinical training experiences to students and maintain full responsibility for patient care services. Students will receive no compensation and would not be considered employees of the Metropolitan Government.
