A resolution approving an agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the University of Memphis School of Public Health to provide clinical experience opportunities for its students.

WHEREAS, the University of Memphis School of Public Health is engaged in the higher education and training of students in various health professions through its Masters of Public Health program and is in need of experience opportunities for its students; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Public Health Department has a wide range of clinical, non-clinical, and public health experiences available to appropriate students; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the mutual benefit of the University of Memphis School of Public Health and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide clinical experience opportunities for its students and residents; and,
WHEREAS, the University of Memphis School of Public Health and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, have entered into an agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to provide clinical experience opportunities for students enrolled in the Masters of Public Health program at the University of Memphis School of Public Health; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the agreement between the University of Memphis School of Public Health and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide clinical experience opportunities for its students, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
