An ordinance approving a services agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Mayor's Office, and the Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. ("EPRI") for an Accelerating Resilience of the Community through Holistic Engagement and use of Renewables ("ARCHER") project to minimize the potential burden on local residents due to insufficient energy resilience related to extreme weather events.

WHEREAS, the Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. ("EPRI") and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("Metro"), acting by and through the Metropolitan Mayor's Office, seek to enter into a services agreement for an Accelerating Resilience of the Community through Holistic Engagement and use of Renewables ("ARCHER") project to minimize the potential burden on local residents due to insufficient energy resilience related to extreme weather events; and,
WHEREAS, the services agreement between Metro and EPRI specifies the parties' benefits and obligations regarding the project; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this services agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the services agreement by and between the Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. ("EPRI") and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Mayor's Office, for an Accelerating Resilience of the Community through Holistic Engagement and use of Renewables ("ARCHER") project to minimize the potential burden on local residents due to insufficient energy resilience related to extreme weather events, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
