An ordinance approving an agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Parks and Recreation ("Parks"), and RCX Sports, LLC to allow Parks to participate in a youth basketball program known as Junior NBA.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation ("Parks") operates a youth basketball league; and,
WHEREAS, under a license From NBA Properties, Inc., RCX Sports, LLC has the right to operate a youth recreational basketball program known as Junior NBA Leagues; and,
WHEREAS, Parks desires to participate in the Junior NBA youth basketball program pursuant to the Agreement (the "Agreement") attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit 1; and,
WHEREAS, approval of the Agreement is in the best interest of the citizens of Davidson County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and RCX Sports, LLC, attached hereto as Exhibit 1, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That any amendment to the Agreement shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least twenty-one (21) affirmative votes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
