WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a grant agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the ongoing collection of data on ambient air concentrations of 2.5 for fine particulate matter (PM) in Nashville, Tennessee approved by RS2020-681, RS2021-996, RS2022-1530, and RS2022-1652; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $130,000 for a new grant total of $520,000 with no cash match required, a copy of which amendment four is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment four be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment four to the grant by and between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for the ongoing collection of data on ambient air concentrations of 2.5 for fine particulate matter (PM) in Nashville, Tennessee, a copy of which amendment four is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
