WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to conduct immunization record audits for child-care centers, drop-in centers, and group child-care homes to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families in Tennessee, approved by RS2024-713; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to RS2025-1183, the Metropolitan Council approved amendment one to the contract to increase the amount of the contract by $152,000.00 from $152,000 to $304,000, extend the contract end date to September 30, 2026, and update Term E.2. Communications and Contacts; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to enter into amendment two to the contract to increase the amount of the contract by $152,000 from $304,000 to $456,000, extend the contract end date to September 30, 2027, update Terms E.2, E.3, and E.8, and add term A.7; and,
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Charter Section 10.104 provides that the Board of Health has the duty to contract for such services as will further the program and policies of the board, subject to confirmation by Resolution of Council; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment two be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
