WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Department of Health, to ensure federal preparedness funds are directed to Tennessee Regional and Metropolitan Emergency Preparedness programs to prepare for, respond to, and recover from public health threats approved by RS2022-1710; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $106,098 from $4,012,875 to $4,118,973 and update various sections of the agreement to conform with new procurement regulations, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Health and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to ensure federal preparedness funds are directed to Tennessee Regional and Metropolitan Emergency Preparedness programs to prepare for, respond to, and recover from public health threats, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
