An ordinance authorizing the granting of a permanent easement to the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority on certain property owned by the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Proposal No. 2026M-024AG-001).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns real property located at 1500 Dickerson Pike, Nashville, Tennessee (Parcel No. 07111000400) (the “Property”); and,

WHEREAS, the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority, doing business as “WeGo,” has requested an easement, as described in the Easement Agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A, on the area designated as shown on Exhibit A for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, repairing, rebuilding, operating, and patrolling a Bus Stop Shelter; and,

WHEREAS, the Board of Education has approved the granting of the easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

Section 1.                      The granting of the easement to the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority, as described in the Easement Agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A, is hereby approved.

Section 2.                     The Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to grant said easement and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

Section 3.                     This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, requiring it.
