A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the Tennessee Department of Health to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to build local capacity to improve public health response to the substance misuse epidemic in the Middle Tennessee High-Impact Area (HIA).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Department of Health to build local capacity to improve public health response to the substance misuse epidemic in the Middle Tennessee High-Impact Area (HIA) approved by RS2020-531; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $23,000.00 from $736,900.00 to $759,900.00 with no cash match required, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Health and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to build local capacity to improve public health response to the substance misuse epidemic in the Middle Tennessee High-Impact Area (HIA), a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
