WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Human Services accepted an application for a CACFP grant with an award of $704,491.00 with no cash match required from the Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Human Services has awarded a CACFP grant in an amount not to exceed $704,491.00 with no cash match required to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department, to provide nutritious meals and snacks for children and adults attending after school programs in fourteen community centers; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the grant application be approved and the grant award be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) grant application and grant award by and between the Tennessee Department of Human Services, in an amount not to exceed $704,491.00, to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department, to provide nutritious meals and snacks for children and adults attending after school programs in fourteen community centers, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
