WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Family Safety previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Department of Children's Services, to support the provision of services to families who have experienced domestic violence and child abuse/neglect approved by RS2023-83; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $164,000.00 from $158,400.00 to $322,400.00 and extend the end date to June 30, 2025, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Children's Services and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Family Safety, to support the provision of services to families who have experienced domestic violence and child abuse/neglect, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
