A resolution approving amendment one to the contract by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Commerce and Insurance, and the Metro Nashville Fire Department ("NFD"), for the provision of annual fire and building safety inspection services for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten through twelfth grade schools.

WHEREAS, pursuant to RS2021-1189, the Metro Nashville Fire Department previously entered into an agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Commerce and Insurance, for the provision of annual fire and building safety inspection services for schools; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the agreement to extend the end date from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That RS2021-1189 is hereby amended by restating the term of the contract to the end date of December 31, 2025.
Section 2. The Metropolitan Government is hereby authorized to enter into the amended contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Commerce and Insurance, attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
