WHEREAS, there are federal requirements for use of American Rescue Plan Act funds that require that these funds be expended or obligated on or before December 31, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2021-1150 allocated ARP Funds to the Nashville Fire Department to be used for light fleet vehicles and equipment, and $222,191 of the ARP Funds will not be used and can be reallocated; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2021-1203 allocated ARP Funds to FUSE Corps to be used for one-year executive fellowships for local governments to work on civic challenges and advance racial equity, and $12,427 of the ARP Funds will not be used and can be reallocated; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2021-1262 allocated ARP Funds to certain Metro departments to upgrade their HVAC systems, and $1,713 of the ARP Funds will not be used and can be reallocated; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2021-1264 allocated ARP Funds to General Services to temporarily expand the trash disposal fleet of Metro Water Services to ensure timely trash collection and avoid public health issues, and $8,597 of the ARP Funds will not be used and can be reallocated; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2022-1357, as amended, allocated ARP Funds to the Mayor's Office of Economic and Community Development to create an inclusive and equitable economic development plan and policy and to conduct a market value analysis, which promotes balanced and strategic growth in Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County, and $205,000 of the ARP Funds will not be used and can be reallocated; and,
