WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through Metropolitan Social Services, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Greater Nashville Regional Council to provide nutrition services to eligible seniors and transportation services for the elderly who are unable to drive or have no other means of transportation approved by RS2025-1364; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $224,324.00 from $971,246.00 to $1,195,570.00 and increase the required cash match by $22,234.67 from $66,222.33 to $88,457.00, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the Greater Nashville Regional Council and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through Metropolitan Social Services, to provide nutrition services for eligible seniors and transportation services for the elderly who are unable to drive or have no other means of transportation, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
