A resolution accepting the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) from the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to support Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) training to peer supporters, chaplains, and ancillary support staff.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs has awarded the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) in an amount not to exceed $59,991.00 with no cash match required to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to support Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) training to peer supporters, chaplains, and ancillary support staff; and;
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant award be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) by and between the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs, in an amount not to exceed $59,991.00, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to support Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) training to peer supporters, chaplains, and ancillary support staff, a copy of which grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That the amount of this grant is to be appropriated to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department based on revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
