WHEREAS, RS2021-1158 approved the Metropolitan Government's application for a Federal COVID Relief Funds for Transportation Improvements grant from the Greater Nashville Regional Council, with an award of $1,145,000 ("the Grant"); and,
WHEREAS, RS2022-1626 accepted the Grant and approved an intergovernmental agreement between the Tennessee Department of Transportation ("TDOT") and the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure ("NDOT"), which provided a reduced grant amount not to exceed $840,980.00, with a required cash match of $304,020.00 from the Metropolitan Government, for the total project cost of $1,145,000, for pedestrian safety and multimodal intersection improvements at various locations throughout Nashville ("the Agreement"); and,
WHEREAS, as set forth in Amendment 1, attached hereto, the parties desire to amend the Agreement by replacing the Exhibit A to the Agreement in its entirety; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that Amendment 1 be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Amendment 1 to the Agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
