A resolution approving an application for a Predators Foundation Helper Grant from the Nashville Predators Foundation to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Family Safety, to fund the third annual Back to School Fair for families impacted by interpersonal violence.

WHEREAS, the Nashville Predators Foundation is accepting applications for a Predators Foundation Helper Grant with an award of $10,000 with no cash match required; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the application for a Predators Foundation Helper Grant with an award of $10,000, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Nashville Office of Family Safety is authorized to submit said grant application to the Nashville Predators Foundation.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
