WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("Metro") and the State of Tennessee are parties to a Lease Agreement approved by Ordinance O99-1765 to provide space for the Metropolitan Government's medical examiner's office; and,
WHEREAS, the First Amendment to the Lease Agreement was approved by Resolution RS2002-1044; and
WHEREAS, Metro and the State of Tennessee have agreed to a Second Amendment to the Lease Agreement to expand the existing cooler in the facility by 720 square feet as described in the Second Amendment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Second Amendment to the Lease Agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That this Second Amendment to the Lease Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the State of Tennessee for operation of a medical examiner's office, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Director of Public Property or his designee is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
