WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, approved by RS2017-990, RS2018-1236 (Amendment One), RS2022-1722 (Amendment Two), and RS2025-1377 (Amendment Three); and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant award to $11,332,929.00 and increase the amount of the required cash match to $6,983,382.00 as reflected in the new Exhibit A to the grant agreement; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment four to the TAP grant be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment four to the TAP grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to provide funding for the Opry Mills Greenway Connector project for construction of a multi-modal path and elevated boardwalk from the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge to the Opry Mills Complex, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
