WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Energy is accepting applications for a Fiscal Year 2024 Vehicle Technologies Office Technology Integration grant; and,
WHEREAS, Tennessee Technological University has applied for a Fiscal Year 2024 Vehicle Technologies Office Technology Integration grant for a project titled Charging Tennessee: Advancing Public Vehicle Fleet Electrification; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT), wishes to join in the application as a subrecipient with an award of $179,540.00 and a required cash match of $500,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate as a subrecipient in this grant program; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this subrecipient grant application be approved and submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the application for a subrecipient grant from the Tennessee Technological University for the Charging Tennessee: Advancing Public Vehicle Fleet Electrification project with an award of $179,540.00 and a required cash match of $500,000.00, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and NDOT is authorized to participate as a subrecipient of Tennessee Technological University's grant application to the U.S. Department of Energy.
