WHEREAS, Nashville Office Interiors wishes to donate 95 sets of furniture, valued at $137,750, to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for use in the Strobel Permanent Supportive Housing Center; and,

WHEREAS, a copy of the donation documentation is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Metropolitan Code of Laws 5.04.120(B), donations to departments exceeding $7,500.00 in value may be accepted upon approval of the Metropolitan Council by resolution; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                      That the donation by Nashville Office Interiors to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of General Services, of 95 sets of furniture, valued at $137,750, for use in the Strobel Permanent Supportive Housing Center, pursuant to the donation documentation attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2.                     That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

The Council is authorized to approve donations or more than $7,500 by resolution pursuant to Metropolitan Code of Laws section 5.04.120.B.
