WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to provide broadband digital skills training, education, and workforce development program skills approved by RS2025-1266; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to delete Attachment A in its entirety and replace it with a new Attachment A and delete Attachment D in its entirety and replace it with a new Attachment D, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the Digital Skills, Education, and Workforce Development grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, to provide broadband digital skills training, education, and workforce development program skills, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution approves the first amendment to a grant contract between the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to the Nashville Public Library, to provide broadband digital skills training, education, and workforce development program skills.
The grant, approved by the Metropolitan Council pursuant to Resolution No. RS2025-1266, is for an amount not to exceed $117,938 with a required cash match of $13,104.22. The grant is set to expire on October 31, 2026.
The proposed amendment will update the project activities to remove language regarding transportation vouchers. The amendment will also update the grant budget to reflect an increase in the supply costs and a decrease in the travel, administration, and transportation vouchers cost. The amendment does not change the total cost of the contract.
