A resolution to amend Resolution No. RS2024-852 to authorize The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to modify the acceptance of public sanitary sewer main and sanitary sewer manholes, for three properties located at 912 2nd Avenue North and 916 and 920 3rd Avenue North, also known as Stockyards 900 Block Revision 1 (Project No. 24-SL-127 and Proposal No. 2024M-128ES-002).

WHEREAS, Resolution No. RS2024-852, approved November 12, 2024, authorized the abandonment of approximately 64 linear feet of existing six-inch water main, and the acceptance of approximately 72 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 32 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 383 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 476 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and eight sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 912 2nd Avenue North, also known as Stockyards 900 Block; and,
WHEREAS, the acceptance of approximately 96 fewer linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 301 fewer linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and four fewer sanitary sewer manholes, for now three properties located at 912 2nd Avenue North and 916 and 920 3rd Avenue North, also known as Stockyards 900 Block Revision 1, are now needed to construct Project No. 24-SL-127; and,
WHEREAS, there were no revisions to Project No. 23-WL-25; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2024M-128ES-002 on September 24, 2025, for revisions to the previous mandatory referral.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Resolution No. RS2024-852 is hereby amended by deleting Section 1 in its entirety and replacing it with the following:
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 64 linear feet of existing six-inch water main, and to accept approximately 72 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 287 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 175 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and four sanitary sewer manholes, for now three properties located at 912 2nd Avenue North and 916 and 920 3rd Avenue North, also known as Stockyards 900 Block Revision 1, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the acceptance authorized by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

The resolution authorized the abandonment of approximately 64 linear feet of existing six-inch water main, and the acceptance of approximately 72 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), approximately 32 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 383 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 476 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and eight sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 912 2nd Avenue North.
The proposed resolution would amend RS2024-852 to authorize the acceptance of approximately 96 fewer linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 301 fewer linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC) and four fewer sanitary sewer manholes for three properties located at 912 2nd Avenue North and 916 and 920 3rd Avenue North.
These changes have been approved by the Planning Commission.
