A resolution approving amendment one to an affiliation agreement by and between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Lipscomb University to provide the opportunity for students enrolled in various health professions to encounter a wide range of clinical experience opportunities.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into an affiliation agreement with Lipscomb University to provide the opportunity for students enrolled in various health professions to encounter a wide range of clinical experience opportunities approved by RS2022-1592; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the affiliation agreement to allow Lipscomb University to provide written certification to the Metropolitan Public Health Department that each assigned student has completed either a TB blood test or a two-step TB test, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment one be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the affiliation agreement by and between Lipscomb University and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide the opportunity for students enrolled in various health professions to encounter a wide range of clinical experience opportunities, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution amends an affiliation agreement between the Metropolitan Board of Health and Lipscomb University originally approved by Resolution No. RS2022-1592. Pursuant to the agreement, Metropolitan Board of Health and Lipscomb University would provide clinical training experience to students enrolled in various health professions.
The amendment allows Lipscomb University to provide written certification to the Metropolitan Public Health Department that each assigned student completed various requirements before beginning the clinical training experience.
