Analysis

This resolution approves an application for an Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department. If approved, the grant award would be $693,081 with a require local cash match of $63,007.36. The objective of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program is to provide funding directly to fire departments for the purpose of protecting the health and safety of the public and first responder personnel against fire and fire-hazards.
