Analysis

This resolution approves the second amendment to a grant agreement from the Tennessee Department of Human Services and the Metropolitan Board of Health (“Metro Health”).

The grant agreement, as approved by Resolution No. RS2024-713, provides funds for Metro Health to conduct immunization record audits for child care centers, drop-in centers, and group child care homes to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families in Tennessee. The first amendment increased the grant awarded by $152,000, from $152,000 to $304,000, extended the grant term to September 30, 2026, added two twelve-month renewal options, and updated contact information for the parties.

The proposed amendment increases the amount of the grant by $152,000, from $304,000 to $456,000. The contract also extends the term of the contract until September 30, 2027, removes one of the twelve-month renewal options, updates the contact information for the parties, and adds language requiring that any AI use must comply with the State of Tennessee’s Enterprise AI Policy to ensure data privacy.
