(“CFE Fund”) to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metro Action Commission, to implement a comprehensive financial empowerment program that provides participants with access to safe bank or credit union products.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metro Action Commission, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, Inc.  to implement a comprehensive financial empowerment program that provides participants with access to safe bank or credit union products approved by RS2021-1088; and, 

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $25,000.00 from $25,000.00 to $50,000.00 and extend the end date of the grant to April 30, 2023, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     That amendment one to the Summer Jobs Connect grant by and between the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, Inc. and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metro Action Commission, to implement a comprehensive financial empowerment program that provides participants with access to safe bank or credit union products, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2.                      That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Attachments to the grant would be updated to reflect these changes.
