Department of Energy to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of General Services, to develop a citywide fleet electrification strategic plan for infrastructure to support public and local utility fleets.

WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Energy is accepting applications for a Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Joint Office of Energy and Transportation: Communities Taking Charge Accelerator grant from the U. S. Department of Energy to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of General Services, with an award of $998,125.00 with no cash match required; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the application for a Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Joint Office of Energy and Transportation: Communities Taking Charge Accelerator grant from the U. S. Department of Energy to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of General Services, to develop a citywide fleet electrification strategic plan for infrastructure to support public and local utility fleets with an award of $998,125.00, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Department of General Services is authorized to submit said grant application to the U. S. Department Energy.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
