WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (“Metro”), acting by and through the Metropolitan Housing Trust Fund Commission, previously entered into grant contracts with New Level Community Development Corporation, Park Center, Inc., Urban Housing Solutions, Inc., and William F. Buchanan Community Development Corporation, and two contracts with Be a Helping Hand Foundation for the express purpose of constructing affordable housing approved by RS2022-1857; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend these six grant contracts by extending the term of each contract, copies of which amendments are attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,
WHEREAS, Metro, acting by and through the Metropolitan Housing Trust Fund Commission and Urban Housing Solution, Inc. wish to amend Attachment A, recipient’s grant budget, to the contract, a copy of which amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the amendments to the grant contracts be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the six grant contracts for constructing affordable housing between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Housing Trust Fund Commission, and Be a Helping Hand Foundation, New Level Community Development Corporation, Park Center, Inc., Urban Housing Solutions, Inc., and William F. Buchanan Community Development Corporation, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution approves amendments to six grant contracts originally approved by Resolution No. RS2022-1857. These grants are between the Metropolitan Housing Trust Fund Commission and nonprofit organizations and are for the construction of affordable housing.
The six grant contracts were among several that the Metropolitan Housing Trust Fund previously executed pursuant to Resolution No. RS2022-1857 (Exhibits Q, T, U, W, Y, and Z).
The amendments extend the term of each grant contract.:

In addition, the grant contract with Urban Housing Solutions would also replace Attachment A, which is the grant budget, with a new Attachment A.
