A resolution accepting an in-kind grant from Grow Enrichment to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to fund the rebuild of the Sand Play area of the Nature Playground located at the GROW site in Two Rivers Park.

WHEREAS, Grow Enrichment has awarded an in-kind grant with an estimated value not to exceed $5,500 with no cash match required, to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to fund the rebuild of the Sand Play area of the Nature Playground located at the GROW site in Two Rivers Park; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this in-kind grant be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the in-kind grant by and between Grow Enrichment, with an estimated value not to exceed $5,500, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to fund the rebuild of the Sand Play area of the Nature Playground located at the GROW site in Two Rivers Park, a copy of which in-kind grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this in-kind grant be appropriated to the Metropolitan Nashville Parks Department based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution accepts an in-kind grant from GROW Enrichment to the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation. This in-kind grant would be used to rebuild the sand play area at the nature playground in Two Rivers Park. All materials, labor, and ongoing maintenance will be provided by GROW Enrichment.
This estimated value of the in-kind grant is $5,500 and no cash match required. No funds will be sent to Metro Parks as a part of this grant.
This grant was approved by the Board of Parks and Recreation at the August 4, 2026 meeting.
